theybby-deactivated20231001 I'm screaming??? So my cat knows I get upset when he steps on my paintings (not yelling or anything I think he just sees me spend hours trying to cover up what his paws do) in my "studio" which is a crammed small storage closet with painting all over the floor drying, so like I'm in there rn and I saw him try to get to point A to point b but it was impossible for him to jump over so like he realized the matte parts were dry and like he was stepping on the corners of t

kitsune-35 bookslifeandeverythingelse Had the same thing when I've been making jewellery and packing up orders. My cat sits there working out a route to get from point a to point b without going across the tray I'm working from. She ends up walking across my stomach that acts as a little shelf when I'm sitting down lol

delusional-cryptid waytooqueerforyourbinary I do a lot of projects on the floor of my room and rn I'm working with fabric paint on a jacket. The thing is, my cat loves to sit on the clothing and fabric that I leave on my floor. So I'm painting one portion of the jacket and my cat came up and sat on the sleeve, I obviously didn't want her to sit in the paint and mess up what I had just done so I said sternly "Summer!! Get off!!" And she immediately did and sat just off of the jacket, right in fro

bluebonnet-witch shangheists Cats care, they just also have the ability to be as thoughtful in their maliciousness as they can be in their niceness. I've seen a cat (who vehemently disliked my sister) avoid everyone's belongings as she delicately walked along a shelf until she got to the only thing of my sister's, which she yeeted across the room.

shootingstarmemories salmonandsoup ... The first cat my family took had was this feral cat who came into our backyard shortly after my grandfather died. He loved my family and could stay inside over night, but over extended periods of time he became depressed and neurotic even with lots of play. So he never managed to be a fully indoor cat. The thing is, my grandmother has always had anxiety, especially when it came to things being clean, which only got worse after my grandfather passed. Our cat

soltheshiny dirtyheartblues My boy keeps getting muddy paw prints on my work and it really upset me. I had a rough day and I ended up cussing him out and bursting into tears. Cut to a couple days ago where he really wanted my attention because I was feeling down but I was target focusing on art. So he got my attention with a huge meow, I have him a little fuss and turned back to my work and as he did he checked all his paws. Cleaned them then very delicately stepped onto my work and sat down unt

lemon-boy-tj kidsfromchemicals My cat doesn't give a about my art. He tries to be an artist himself by walking all over the canvas and adding his paw prints everywhere. But, yes, cats DO care. When I was unable to get out of bed due to surgery, he curled up beside me and slept with me until I was able to walk again.

xleeloodallasx trust I had a cat who liked to go outdoors, but I was weary of it so we only allowed it in stages and I thought our fence was high enough to keep her in... It wasn't, but she would always come home by sundown. One night, she didn't. I was pregnant at the time and devastated. I couldn't sleep, so at 2am I went outside crying and started meowing. Yes, I am aware of how weird this must have looked lol. She would always respond to me though, so I had to try. After a few minutes, she e

laisai spudsgood my cat gets onto the bed very carefully because she doesnt want to step on a stray limb of mine and cause me pain. it's the cutest thing. she'll have one paw in the air, look at where she wants to go, look at me, then either slowly press down that paw or move it elsewhere

aarontveit lesbiansatan ... I have two cats, and they are both hyper aware of my sensitivity to physical contact (I have a condition called allodynia, and it's intensified because of my fibromyalgia & MS). So, when they both want to cuddle with me, they both like to lay right up against and/or on me. It's very sweet, but also very uncomfortable for me at times. But they are hesitant and cautious every single time they go to step on me (especially if I'm telling Pete - Shiloh's fat & lazy & barel

defilerwyrm octoswan My Cassiopeia has learned that I get upset when she steps on the keyboard so she'll stretch her legs out to the sides and straddle it to walk over it instead of stepping on the keys, even when it's obviously less convenient for her. Cats are Good

elven-lala-wolf itsagifnotagif Every time I sneeze, no matter where my cat is or what he is doing, he will start squeaking and race towards me. He checks on me and rubs on me to make sure I'm okay and won't stop til I say I am.

amethystspaceprince itsagifnotagif When I get upset my cat meows at me and once after I had a bad day and my cat snapped at me (she went to scratch me but didn't because she never scratches people) and I was upset about the bad day and when I went downstairs my cat followed me and wouldn't leave my side. A while back when she bit me (gently and because I was ignoring her to text) she sulked knowing she was in the wrong and when I came outside again later she walked up to me and meowed. Normally

sh-it-po-st dumbbfuckk And people say cats are selfish creatures. My cat is the say way for me when it comes to my homework being scattered around on my bedroom floor. He'll look back after a step or two to make sure he doesn't mess up my organization process

introverticals trust So my cat does something similar; he'll jump up on my bed at night and carefully feel where my legs/feet are before he steps so he doesn't step on them, and if I wants to switch sides he'll go all the way around by my feet or even sometimes jump over me:")

tinystark616-backup sadly-not-home People being like "no cats don't care" in the comments well then I don't paint, but one of my cats always sits on my lap whenever I'm crying, like he literally comes to me and sits on my lap and purrs until I stop crying. And whenever I bathe my cats (which is not very frequently but anyway) they always put their paws on my arms for balance and they're always careful not to hurt me with their claws. So yeah, cats do care, maybe not in a way we fully understand,
